Guides on finding, understanding and dealing with wasp nests.
Wasps love a quiet outbuilding, and the cramped, dim interior of a shed makes it one of the worst places to try to remove a nest yourself.
Wasps eat protein as well as sugar, and a bowl of pet food left by the back door can make a house a regular stop for foragers.
When only one or two people run a site, a wasp nest is a safety question as much as a nuisance, and a simple lone-working routine goes a long way.
Under a deck or patio is a dry, shaded void, and an autumn look beneath the boards shows whether last year’s visitor left a shell.
A few minutes spent noting what you have seen, from a safe distance, means the technician arrives knowing where to look and what equipment to bring.
