Guides on finding, understanding and dealing with wasp nests.
The spaces we enjoy most in summer, a deck, a patio, a balcony, are exactly the sort of sheltered spots a queen may choose, and the nest is often directly underneath where you sit.
For a household with a sting allergy, a wasp nest in the garden is not a nuisance but a real worry, and acting early with the right information makes a difference.
A nest inside a wall or ceiling can announce itself through sound long before a single wasp appears in a room.
A modern office has many windows, a terrace or bench area and a kitchenette, and each gives wasps a way in that staff can help close.
Routine garden jobs are when most people meet a nest by accident, so spotting wasp or bee activity before you pick up the shears is time well spent.
