Guides on finding, understanding and dealing with wasp nests.
The quiet corners of a garden suit wasps as well as they suit gardeners, and an ordinary tidy-up can turn into an unwelcome surprise.
A cluster of wasps buzzing against the inside of a shed window usually points to a nest within the building, and the worst response is to open the door to let them out.
The small boxes and cupboards around a property are easy to forget until you open one, and a wasp nest inside is a nasty surprise for the meter reader or bin carrier.
Booking the visit is only half the job; the follow-up with the tenant and the paperwork afterwards decide whether the next summer goes smoothly.
Six weeks of children at home overlap with the busiest weeks of the wasp year, so a nest dealt with before the holidays means a calmer summer.
“Had to call out St George’s Pest Control last week, really good service got rid of wasps in one application, Ian was a very pleasant man and answered the questions I put to him, I would fully recommend St George’s”
Ian“After 30 years in this house with no wasp problems, two come along at once. The service was excellent, done in a very short time by a very pleasant gentleman. I thoroughly recommend although I hope never to have to use his services again!”
