Guides on finding, understanding and dealing with wasp nests.
Eaves, soffits and fascias hide small dark gaps that wasps find ideal, and this guide shows what those gaps look like and what to do once you have seen one.
Aerosol sprays promise a quick end to a wasp problem, yet they tend to agitate the colony, scatter wasps and leave you closer to the nest than you ought to be.
One gap, one steady stream of wasps and the same rhythm all day is the clearest sign of a live colony, as opposed to the odd wasp passing by.
Wasps going in and out near the roofline can be traced by a short, patient watch from a safe distance, and that information makes the booking call quick and accurate.
Wasps follow a seasonal pattern that is easy to learn, and knowing which month you are in tells you how urgent a newly spotted nest really is.
